Issues while trying to add friends.

I have spent over 5 dollars on steam for sure and neither steam profile is private. This has acurred on multiple oucations and i'm wondering if anyone is haveing the same issue.

Two leads:
1. Still, the recent playsrs function is there, does it work in PUBG?
2. A name cant be found right after it was changed, changing it is therefor extremely counter-productive.

You can not add people trough PUBG not on the game nor can you see there steam profiles.

Thats not what i mean, not at all. I mean the overlay. The upper left block on the overlay lists people youre playing/were playimg with.

If it does, it's not a problem.

There are some factors that might go into this such as the user have created the account recently or changed their details so the system has to catch up and update it.

Sorry is where is this overlay in steam itself or in the game becuse there is no such thing in the game. All do i do not se how knowing there name would help me if i can not find them on steam.

Yes you are the first profile i se. But i have to add that i have tryed this for 5-6 times now and no result either all people on PUBG are lieying about there steam name or steam search is not working properly btw do check the links i posted with simular disscusions.

So the problem boils down to two:

1) The in-game name is not the same as Steam name
2) Their profile simply doesn't meet some sort of requirements to be listed on the search page yet

Update i can not find my long time friend on steam he linked me a steamprofile and that worked but i can not find him simple by seaching for his name.

Now we are on to something i have played PUBG all day but there is not a single name on that list only a message that reads (You do not have any play history for this day.). Edit : It also tells me that i have played 0 games the last 14 days that is so not true.

Then either it's a different system in-game or it is simply not set up for Steam to track it.

Well, did he change his name recently?

No he did not and also its hard to belive all people i meet on PUBG just happen to change there names resently and that would not explay why they can not find me seeing how i just changed my own name on the last 2 guys that i tryed to add.

There, you say people change their names to be found more easily. But that's EXACTLY the problem, after changing the name, it can't be found!
