This is a problem because the entire market has a bunch of really bad games that I’m not interested in.
Between visual novels or mobile like games it’s flooded the market with stuff that just makes better games harder to find.
I wish they could add a feature to filter out indie games.
Between mobile games and steam my purchasing on these platforms have changed these past two years due to indie games flooding the market drowning out good games
Honestly, i long ago started to inform myself of new releases outside of Steam.
There are enough genre specialized sites like RPG Watch or similar that list the interesting
new games. And then i just search for them by name on the store.
You are right, the store itself has become a bloated mass of shovelware, indie games and mobile phone ports. Its really hard to find interesting new releases just by browsing the store.
Thank you. I am glad I am not alone in this. The shovelware in the steam store honestly needs to be in its own section. I'd hope they'd make an indie genre store listing seperately.
