AMD A9-9410 or i5-7200U?

I have heard that the i5-7200U is the better overall choice, but the AMD has a lot more ghz. I'm not quite sure what ghz is (I'm not a PC gamer and am looking to play small games on my PC), so I was wondering if somebody can briefly explain the concept of ghz and wether it is worth it to get the one with more ghz over the reccommended one. I am not looking to do any video editing on this computer but I am thinking about using Unity/Unreal engine.

GHz is the clock speed, though just a slightly better clock speed as in this case doesn`t automatically mean a faster processor - I`d go for the intel btw.
(if forced to choose between the two), there are better processors than both of these.- these are both just dual cores)

Btw, GHz stands for GigaHertz, (in clock cycles per second).
