My friend sended me an scr file, is it virus or no?

So just recently 2 of my friend sended me an scr file, the first one was very long ago...and the second one just happened 5 minutes ago (when this post is up). It was some kind of screenshot, the website is imagescapture(dot)pictures, I opened it...and it automatically downloads an scr file...I dont really trust files from people, so I want to know what's the file is.

I searched on the forum for scr...the one that only pops up is about screen recording (dunno why) and a post in russian

The malware is using the computer of your friend to spread itself and presents a fake "steam support alert" asking him to trade items to "verify" the ownership of his/her account.
If those items are traded, then they are gone, forever.
