to disable the Steam Shader Cache follow these steps (windows only):
1. Shutdown Steam ( exit client )
2. Goto C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config
3. delete config.vdf
4. restart Steam and go to settings Shader Pre-Caching and untick Enable
5. Steam will then remove the shaders from your games ( it will look like its downloading them but its actualy removing them so don't wory about the downlods running )

Thanks, now it shows 0MB pre-cached instead of 100 something that was present before.

VNRip are you referring to re-enabling cache files, if so all you have to do is go to settings Shader Pre-Caching and tick enable steam will begin downloading the improved shaders for games.
