Starbound Save
So, a few months ago i changed my computer in the hopes that I will improve my frames in most of my games, and I did. But when i went to play one of my favourite new games, on my new improved computer.... nothing was there. I relogged starbound thinking it must be a glitch or something but nope, none of its there. Can anyone help me on maybe some ways to get my stuff back? Would really help thanks! <3

are you talking about a save file for starbound? Did you make a backup of the save. Not all games have cloud save available

Starbound saves are saved locally.

If you still have access to the old computer, navigate to the game folder
Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound
and copy the folder called "storage" into an USB drive and paste it in the same directory on the new computer, start the game and the saves should be there.

Starbound does not appear to support cloud storage so the save is on your previous computer. Back up the save game and transfer it to the new computer. You could use something like GameSave Manager to back up your saved games or do it manually.

If you choose to do it by hand, you might have to ask each game's Discussion where that particular game's saves are located since there is not a standardized location.

Starbound doesnt use Steam cloud. Transfer the saves manually https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Starbound

The hard drive might be still accessible. Unplug the hard drive and plug it into your new computer.

Who cares? Extract the HDD (or SSD) and put it into your current computer. Problem solved.

Well, you have to ooen a device to extract a part. Not neccessarily taking it apart, but you have to open it.
As for your new LAPTOP, some (the ridiculously huge desktop replacements that are all but laptops) have several mass atorage bays but typically, they dont. So youre gonna need a USB-SATA-adaptor/enclosure.

A card is by definition a separate device thats reversibly connected to whatever its connected to so why should it not work? Just make sure you know what type of "card" so you can get an apropriate enclosure. Also, your current laptop may have a free "card" slot you can use.

Typically, you turn it upside down and unscrew the screws to open the maintenance bay.
