Dell Optiplex 3010 and gt 1030
Ok so to get into pc gaming im going to buy a dell optiplex 3010 tower 2nd hand and slap a gt 1030 in there. would this fit and work.

It should...but a GTX1050Ti would be a better option for it.

There are many different models of the Dell Optiplex 3010, which one do you have exactly? What are the system specs and what form factor is it?

To answer the form factor question, which one of these 3 do you have?

Yeah, a 1050 ti is probably out of the question since the PSU most likely lacks a 6/8pin.

A 1050 is the highest OP can go without replacing the PSU.

When I google to fact check the first thing that pops up is the MSI Gaming X which has a 6pin. :P

I personally would also like to try this right now, because I don't have a graphics card right now. The GT 1030 seems to be a fit budget graphics card for an optiplex 3010.

A low profile 1050 would be better

as long as its a mid tower not the slim/sff model it can take a full height gpu
sff/slim will need a low profile gpu
