What Motherboard and/or Audio do you have?
on the realtek HD audio manager seemed like everything was on default.
like while playing music the audio is steady but say vocals drops and its like im listening to only acustic version. mybe it is a hardware prob. i just didnt want to split open the cloth covers for the wireing.
motherboard is asus M5A99FX pro 2.0
audio is realtek
This option is more suited for lower wattage TV/Monitor built-in Speakers, or for Laptop users.
Not generally great for Headphone users or for External Powered Speakers.
You will notice a Communications tab there in Playback/Recording as well; in that section, set to "Do Nothing"
If you are using Windows 10 1803, then it will look like this instead:
https://www.windowscentral.com/sites/wpcentral.com/files/styles/xlarge/public/field/image/2018/03/sound-settings-windows-1803.jpg
In here, to reach Playback/Recording, click Sound Control Panel on the upper-right-hand side
i believe the issuse was the audio being set to front speakers like i had a tv hook'd up as my monitor then when switching back i nvr adjusted the setting
Hope some1 reads this and is able to bring new life to an old set of headphones.
