There is no difference between the steam version and the retail version, both are the same.

Ill try activatin it, tho i found out that if you send the key + necesasry proof steam can activate it for you, any cod that mw2 or newer can be activated on steam

Steam Support cannot help you activating the game, it's a non-steam key, they also cannot "magically" turn a retail key into a steam key.

I realise that but this guy says it works so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ill try,, tho as long as Custom map CO-OP would work i wont care much
