Can't download Far Cry 5: corrupt disk

I tried repairing the location and clearing cache but the download keeps stopping, but it can be restarted again. Its happened about 3 times now and I want to have to stop randomly having to manually start the download again. Any tips?

I’ve been having this issue for the past couple of days trying to download or update any of my games, on any of my PCs hard drives. I’m sure at this point it’s a bug in the steam client after the recent update but they are being very quiet on the subject.

If you're getting corrup tdisk errors its likely your anti-virus is killing the download

Nope because one of the things I checked his weekend was starting my PC in Safe Mode with Networking and trying to download a game and run updates and they still failed.
I even put a brand new Samsung Evo 500GB hard drive in my PC and Steam won’t install on it. Yet GoG, Uplay and Origin all install quite fine.

Right now it lost all progress and is stuck on preallocating after I verified files.

Disabled AVG. game corrupts again

It always seems to be in the same file, farcry.dat
