Refund Question
After a recent update, a game is very buggy, in my opinion, unplayable, certainly not enjoyable. To solve the issue, I reverted the game to an older version, however all progress was lost.

It hasn't been 14 days, but I was thoroughly enjoying the game, and put over 30 hours into it. I understand the need to make this not function as a rental service, but am I really liable for a development issue?

Over 2 hours played and over 2 weeks owned.

No refund.

Give it a shot, you most likely get deny, but you never know.

You were warned of the progress loss though...

WARNING: SWITCHING BACK TO THE OLD GAME VERSION WILL DESTORY YOUR INGAME PROGRESS (for example unlocked badges)

That's what I saw, a discussion specifically about my issue and it didn't say anything about progress loss.

Well, then say thank you to GRENDEL who forgot to warn you about the repercussions of such an action.

I also feel like you missed the point of the question. If a developer bricks their game within the refund window and I loose faith in the development team, I'm just out of luck because I don't have any satisfaction guarantee? It would seem to behoove the studio that made the game.

The question is because I'm curious about the precedence we've set, and upon review I see how hostile responses are when questioning the refund system. Electronic media hasn't always been a thing, and refunds on electronics haven't always been complicated. I've never had an issue of a game updating while I was playing to be honest. I find it strange how time and time again the community is willing to accept ...whatever we're given. (Micro-transactions, loot boxes, early access, endless money grab DLC's... etc)

I now understand I will not get this refund, it's just a sad state of affairs in my opinion.
