New STEAM client is breaking games (Windows 10)
With the new STEAM CLIENT a lot of my games have now weird issues in Windows 10.

PINBALL FX2 : broken - CTD
Arma 3: broken - Losing his path now the user profile is created in the root of the game -
F1 2015: The game dont start ... new Hercules Poirot mistery.

Someone has a idea about this problems or have the same problems?

Steam beta? Steam big picture mode? Steam normal client?

Did you try reinstalling Steam?
steam client build March 22, 2018
windows 10 64bit version 1709 (build 162996.334)

no problem running different games: l4d1 and ao22 hd

i3-530 + nvidia g210 (palit) 512MB DDR3, 8GB DDR3-1600 gskill
nvidia driver 342.01

>>check for windows updates and reboot pc.
>>check for your gpu driver update and reboot pc.

There's problems with some games like I said before.

Latest Windows 10 patch and GPU driver

No driver related issue, the client is generating problems in some games.

Beta? is the stable ver. of Steam.

And the f1 2015 is:Windows 7 64 bit or Windows 8 64 bit compatible.

The usual jumbo mumbo of (update drivers/steam client/reboot/etc,etc) dont work, I eat a unstable version of the STEAM that broke my setup.

Bad luck for me.

Having same issue.

Rainbow Six can't even open it. Verified cache and everything. I even formatted my pc thinking it was windows failing.

Rocket League might open, but after some time playing if you close it and open it again, it wont launch and wont tell you why. In fact if you try to launch any game after playing some time it wont launch.

Also doing some blue screens...

And even closing Google Chrome ... WTF??

Update your Steam client instead of using out of date client. There's no point using out of date client, update it, or reinstall it, which will install the latest version.

I'm start to think you are an ignorant troll that is trying to fool us.

Do you understand english properly or you dont know whats the meaning of my previous sentence?

My two machines are updated perfectly - again, do you understand this? - all are in the last version of STEAM/DRIVERS/ETC.

Do you have any solution for the problem or are the usual ignorant that are trying to seems smart when dont have any idea about the issue?

and

"When you get a blue screen, what error code did you get?"... what

Unbelievable...

1. You literally state you were using an out of date compare to the march 22nd version before you edit your post...

2. You said you have two machines using the same version, you didn't state you updated them at all.

3. You, yourself is the one being ignorant, and that last part that wasn't even regarding to you, if you can even read at all, is a reply to someone else, not you. Try proof reading what you say, and don't be ignorant to those that are trying to help you... :cfacepalm:

Ha, you guys are complaining about only some games not working, while im sitting over here with a client that will freeze my entire OS. Causing it to hang competly. RGBs on my keyboard abd mouse stop working as well. Then i have to do a hard power off. Started happening with the 1709 creators update of windows.

You should start your own discussion, and I'm sure someone will help you out, to me sounds like it could OS issue basically with that limited info. All I can really say is do a system repair, or do a clean install of Windows 10 using the latest version you can download from the Microsoft website, and burn to a disk, or make ISO for USB flash drive that's 4GB, or bigger.

I recommend post your discussion here.

Same issue here, everything was running fine but then the Steam client updated itself and game doesn't want to run anymore. Technical support of the game developer indicated updated steamclient64.dll causes the problems.

The game developer updated their code to work around this issue but now Steam doesn't push the update to the users.

Can't believe the arrogance of Steam in this issue.

Is your OS completly hanging? I've even tried a fresh OS reinstall and it didn't fix it.

Did you try reinstalling Steam? You can also try using the Beta version of Steam.

Which game did this developer have to do that? Also is this issue for all your games, or just the one game, which that would be?

Do you have any 3rd party apps running in the background, and what are they? That also include 3rd party anti virus / firewall.
