Can't gift a Monkey Island Collection? [Problem gifting]

I wanted to give away this collection for a friend but it doesn't allow me for some reason.

However i can purchase every single game of the collection separately and it works fine but it costs a bit more. What gives?

Bundels are tailored for you specificly and to my knowledge can not be gifted. But i could be wrong.

This happens to some bundles (with or without DLC) that have a price reflected/decreased upon what you own; ie a personalized purchase. So unfortunately, bundles that are personalized cannot be gifted.

But i don't own any of the copies of the collection. And neither does my friend. We live in the same country and i can buy it for my self. I simply still don't understand why it is this way.

I totally understand, that's why you're getting the full package at the full discount -- since it's a personalized bundle, let's say you owned the item "Monkey Island™ 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge", you would get the 2 remaining titlesfor a smaller, reduced fee without having to pay for it again. Unpersonalized bundles do not reduce the price of the entire bundle. Because it is a "personalized" bundle, and your library must be taken into account, it cannot be gifted unfortunately.

Personalized bundles are notoriously annoying for gifting, but the money you save on not having to pay for something again is nice. I've noticed these personalized bundles tend to get more popular after an item in them was on sale for a long duration/recently, to prevent people skipping the bundle entirely.

Ah i understand now. Well that is a bit annoying. Sure it is only increases the price of 3€ to buy and gift every game of the collection separately but it still stings. Thank you for putting time into answering my question.
