I have a Nvidia GTX 1080p, so this AMD issue is now within the Nvidia arena as well.
Can anyone or does anyone have a solution for this? I have Googled this issue for weeks now and perused the Steam board to no avail.
Luck & Loot all.

You're advised. To do so, choose the approach you're more comfortable with.

- Run regedit.exe
- Find the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam folder
- Edit the "StartupMode" key to 0
- Save
- Restart Steam. It'll take a minute to start, then ask user and pass, then you might log again.

I noticed that there's a tip in https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/828935672345834955/ ... I'll add it here as well, if you consider it easier. Haven't tested it myself, I changed the register directly.
Make a textfile and copy this into it:
Then save that file with the ending *.reg (eg: bigpicture.reg) and start it. A warning pops up if you're really sure and after accepting that you should be good to go.
