Steam interface is too big
My steam interface is too big and the pages are zoomed in, I didn't change anything, today when I turned on my PC the Steam interface is already big. Does anyone know how to fix this?

steam, settings, interface, disable "scale text and icons to match..."
resolution of steam window is wrong
After an update a few weeks ago, my resolution became all messed up. Im running steam on a 1080p monitor but the window/ texts/ pics looks like 720p (giant)
I already tried disabling the scaling by that still doesnt work
It was perfectly fine a few weeks ago but idk what the hell the update did

Steam client update today. The download pane now resembles a scaled 640x480 app.

This popular trend of increasing font/icons sizes with every other "update"
is really annoying. A 4K PC monitor is not a tablet. These "updates" are literary a waste of space. I don't want to scroll or go full screen in order to read a few lines. Don't fix what isn't broken.

I was successful by looking in the properties of the desktop shortcut and checking the compatibility section. I unchecked "run in 640x480 screen resolution"

Over 6 years later and this tip is still good. Thanks.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
