Black UI with AMD Switchable Graphics

I'm using a laptop with APU + Discrete GPU.
I found that AMD uses the High Performance profile for the Steam Client, i changed it to Power Saving and now I have no problem.

Update 2: I have the new client but still getting black in High Perfomance profile.

For those who can't save the profile or doesn't know how to change it:

1) Open the AMD Radeon Settings and don't close it.
2) Go to System -> Switchable Graphics.
3) Change the "Steam.exe" profile from "High Perfomance" to "Power Saving" both on "Recent Applications" (Client NOT running) and "Current Applications" (Client running) **
4) Change from option "Running Applications" to "Installed Profiled Applications" and do the same.

**When you have the client not running and change the profile to Power Saving on Recent Applications if you open Steam it will appear on Current Applications but with High Perfomance

Update your Windows and AMD drivers, see if the problem is related to Virtual Super Resolution and the DPI (Start Menu -> Configuration -> Screen -> Scale and Design) also, set it to 100% or Recommended.

If you have ATI graphics then search this forum for Blank Screen ATI, someone may have a fix posted earlier.

Also having this problem but I have an Nvidia graphics card (GTX 980). I hope this gets resolved, it's very uncomfortable when I'm using steam in a dark room only to be blinded by this white screen.

Worked for me too. Use your (1)Steam.exe as your client.

For "Crimson" drivers:
RMB on desktop -> Radeon Settings -> Display -> Additional Settings -> (and same like in Catalyst) Power > Switchable Graphics Application Settings > Steam.exe >
switch to Power Saving > Apply
