Controller Rumble Problem
I recently re-launched Steam and after an update my xbox one controller now rumbles. I don't like rumbling and I found out I can disable it, but it is a lot of work because I have to go into big picture mode and mess with the settings in every game individual game I play to disable it.
Even when disabled, it seems to rumble whenever I tab out of a game window and makes an annoying noise when rumbling on my desk.
Is there any way to permanently disable rumble features?

Rumble is good, rumbling all the time is bad. Is that what you have?

What if you use the controller without steam?
Go in the controller settings and steam and uncheck everything.

I only have Xbox configuration support enabled so I can make hotkeys to take screenshots in games on my controller. Other than that nothing is enabled.
I personally don't really like rumble, and when i'm not playing with my controller it is rumbling every time I tab out and such and makes an annoying noise on my desk.
There was also a pop-up to register my controller when I re-lauched steam and in the Big Picture options menu but idk what that means or if it does anything. It seems like a Steam Controller thing.

Yes it does seem that Steam is involved somehow, that's why you should uncheck all the checkboxes including the xbox one as a test. you can enable them afterwards.

Does it rumble all the time or not?

I'll give it a shot but then I can't use my controller to take screenshots in games... I normally have it enabled so I can config a button to double click for screenshots. I don't really understand why this is now suddenly a problem when it has been fine for months.
