Transferring FM 2018 license to another steam account
Hey guys. I bought FM2018 but i t happens that I don't have much time to play it. I wanted to give the game to my brother, who has his own steam account. Is it possible to install the game on his account with the same key, if I remove the game from my steam account and uninstall it from my pc?

Thank you!

As pointed out already, you can't transfer games nor accounts. However, what you can try using Family Sharing.

Don't forget to remove any phone you have registered for that account. Change the email to his and give him the account.

Valve is not some police state where rules are everything. They are not idiots. The rules are there to prevent certain types of misuse.

This is not a misuse and nobody who has something to say and values his time will care about this account transfer. Ignore these "it is forbidden, you will be shot" guys.

Yes but they are not a nanny state as well. If they do this and people found out, people will be demanding this as well.

The thing is, he has his own Steam account. I just want to remove the game from my account so he can have the game on his account. Isn't that possible? What if I wanted to resell the game? Or do they consider that, illegal?

Once a game is purchased on a Steam account, the licence is tied to that account and can't be transferred. You could just share your library with them, using family share.

You should never family share your account or use family share from others. One small mistake on either side, like using an internet cafe computer with a hack and both accounts get a VAC.

You could family share this account to your brother after removing all phones from it, then create a new account for yourself.

Or wait for a special with 66% or more off and buy him the game.

Support has appeared to loosened up a little and has been seen to release keys from the account, though all confirmed threads I've seen on that were accidental registrations with little to no playtime and done immediately after the fact.

You can try to write a ticket and ask, but the odds are slim to none with you already owning the game for months.
