Can you get banned for commenting on alot of steam profiles?
Can you get banned for commenting on a lot of steam profiles?

I am aware there are cool-downs, but is it possible to get perm banned.

You can get a Community Ban for excessive spam, yes.

Unless you're posting hate speeches, I don't see why there would be a punishment for that (cooldown, sure, but that's mostly Steam telling you to go outside for a while :P). Which, I gotta wonder...how much do you need to post to get a cooldown? I'm not the most active on forums, but once in a while I'll go crazy with replies from time to time and never got one :P.

200 posts in a rolling 24 hour period on the forums. Coldowns vary by other factors. Usually 2 hours for good users.

About 5-10 on profiles comment sections that are non-Steam friends. 24 hour cooldown for non-Steam friends.

~200 on profiles comments that you are Steam friends with. Usually 2 hour cooldown for good users with no prior bans.

Yes this is for friends, so I guess I can make under 200 comments on friends profiles, without expecting a ban.
