A question about physx
So the majority of what I got in my research is that Physx is best set to gpu since its much faster than cpu.
my cpu is core i5-3230m gpu is gt635m 2gb.
However no matter what I set it to when I launch a game it says physx - cpu, I have never seen it say GPU, am i doing something wrong ?

What does the nVidia Control Panel say? What did you set there?
Not that it really matters as that videocard is utterly terrible and wouldn't make much of a difference compared to your CPU.

In your recently played list i don't even see a game that uses PhysX.

You are using a (Lenovo?) notebook. It makes literally no difference, if PhysX runs via your CPU or GPU.

The "run PhysX on GPU" advise is meant for Desktop PCs which have dedicated graphic cards, running on fast, broad bandwidth ePCI busses, with high clock speeds, outpacing CPUs.

Mobile GPUs on notebooks - even if called 'dedicated GPUs' - follow a different path.

Basically, "don't worry about it". There would be no difference in FPS either way, running on CPU OR GPU, with any game running on your notebook.

Enter the Gungeon does not use PhysX at all.

It seems i am a bit wrong. It looks like PhysX was integrated into the Unity engine at some point.
Still, it wouldn't make a difference as it doesn't use hardware accelerated PhysX like you can find in games like Borderlands 2 or the Batman Arkham games.
Using your rather weak videocard over the rather weak CPU for PhysX will make no difference in running Enter the Gungeon.
P.S.: You may want to use a digital DVI/HDMI/DP connection between your laptop and your monitor for better image quality.
An analog DSub connection is pretty much terrible.

Yeah, also known as DSub. That is technology literally from the last century. Maybe use something a bit more modern. Even DVI exists since 1999.
