Hacker using .zip file PLEASE HELP!
recently I asked if anyone would want to trade some items for some items, and someone sent me a friend request. He said my friend cant add you (friends list full) but is this the item you want to trade for then the link. it looked super sketchy his account was private and he wouldnt respond to any messages. But being stupid I clicked on the link and it opened google chrome then started to download a .zip file. I quickly canceled it but It may have already downloaded, microsoft popped up saying threat detected. But now when I look in chrome downloads it says it was canceled and when I look in my file folder I cant find it anywhere not even under downloads. Does this mean it didnt download? also I changed my password am I good?

I'm leaning toward yes, but man I would rather put myself in your shoes. Full scan anti virus with latest definitions, you already ran malwarebytes. Avast is a free antivirus if that's an issue. Since you didn't unpack the file you should be okay. But if I am sitting there im also changing my password just because I've no idea what else was transferred on that link. I'm just overly cautious though and would have a ton to lose with 4k games and all but I'm sure losing even 1 game would suck royally. That and the hassles of going through an account retrieval. Do you have steam guard? That would lean me a lot closer to yes mate.

I think I might be good because both places where I downloaded the "virus" to I never opened it and deleted it also all of the malware and windows ten security says i have no threats

As long as it's not a self extracting .zip file they are safe to view, as long as you don't open anything inside the archive. Unpacking an archive doesn't execute anything inside the archive. The real danger are self extracting .zip files, as they may do more than extract the contents of the archive.
