Disable in-home stream notification?
Greetings

Every time I start streaming games from my main PC, a "connected user" notification pops up resulting the main PC jumps back to desktop screen. This process is very slow and it should not behave like this. I have to tab through it while black windows are frozen for some 10-20 seconds.

How can I disable these particular notifications?

Steam --> Settings --> In-Home Streaming --> Uncheck Enable.

I know, deviously hidden by Valve that option.

I appreciate you taking time to reply.
However, If I disable in-home streaming I can obviously not stream my game. It is in this process that the notification pops up and disturbs.

imagine typing out such a smug reply while completely missing the point that his whole thread is about disabling the notification, not the streaming itself

Imagine reviving a year-old thread just to point out that you felt someone was being too smug over 365 days ago?

Seriously? No way to disable this? I wonder if Valve will use standard OS notifications anytime soon so we can just silence it there. In the meantime I guess I'm going to just not run steam when I'm trying to work and let the updates pile up instead....

Solution: Just use Epic launcher!
