No, those should be fine.
You should only set the Rocket League .exe to run as administrator. Did you also set Steam to run in comparability mode? If you did, here's how to disable it.
I just checked my Rocket League installation folder & I also don't have that file, so that should be okay. Maybe that support article is out of date. Who knows.
"(C:\Users\XXX\Documents\My games\Rocket League\TAGame\Cache)" is the location where you can find the file. XXX is just a placement for your Windows user name.
To find this location you want to open up Windows Explorer. To do that, click the start button in the bottom left of the desktop. In that menu you should see "computer" or "documents". Click one. From there it should be relatively easy to find the location above.
I don't believe Event Viewer should be showing you web searches. Here's a quick guide[www.howtogeek.com] on how to open Windows Event Viewer.
Oh, the joys of PC gaming! Don't worry, It should get easier the more you do it. Haha
Fantastic!!
A driver should always be manually installed, rather than relying on windows/your os to find its update. Thing is with windows doing it, is that the manufacturers have to pay to have them 'certified' for that service - and that's stupidly expensive. So they aren't always the newest or the most correct updates available through the operating system's 'hey this is out of date let's check' system.
Very glad you got it sorted! I hope that the game isn't too toxic (though that's kind of to be expected with it being pvp and all, but...).
Just realized you can see people's level on steam. Jeezus!! What's your rank on Rocket League?
you play RL?
you play RL? [/quote]
No, I'm just very happy when a frustrated customer manages to get their product working ;) I'm one of those odd birds who truly enjoyed retail (managed a comic store for many years) so when someone's happy, I'm happy :)
I sit at around Platinum 3/Diamond 1. I stopped playing ranked a very long time ago & just stuck to chilling out & having a laugh in casual. Ranked is a cesspit that I like to avoid. Heh
Awesome!! Well thank you very much :)
Well if you wanna be my first friend on there then hmu. We can chill in cas or f around in private :)
If not then thanks again for the help here :)
I've been having the same issues, can you remember what driver you updated?
Hey sorry for the late reply, I'm not really on steam much. Hopefully you have it resolved by now but if not then I really just went to the start option at the bottom left, then I clicked control panel, click windows update, and then it showed I needed 93 updates. This is a 2nd hand brand new computer if that makes any sense. It had a red X showing a few of them were important updates so I went ahead and tried it. It did about 90 of them before 3 very long loads for the last 3 which one said it was for the hard drive. I had to then restart my computer to finish installing them and after doing so for whatever reason it didnt install so I restarted again and it fully finished that time. I then tried rocket league and it worked fine :)
atm I need 47 updates but none are crucial and my rocket league works still.
Hopefully that helps :) let me know how it all is progressing and I'll try to work through it with you.
