Why can't i install multiple games at the same time?
So i hit install for Saints Row 2. And Saints Row The Third. But it doesn't install them at the exact same time?

Is this a bug? or somthing completely stupidly forgot?

Don't tell me you can't install multiple games at a time.

PS4 And XBOX One Both do theres at the same time? why isn't my steam PC Masterace not able to?
What would be the benefit? It'd take longer to play if they had to split your connection.

Because i wanted to install multiple games at the same time. and my computer is a really good computer. that installs crap fast. pretty sure it would speed up installing all my games. if they were able to download at the same time.

And what the fk take longer? doesn't take longer on a PS4 or XBOX One.
Install the one you want to play then let each other one install while playing it...

More than just your bandwidth is involved in the process

idc. i can't play one eather way. because there installing. no matter what.

Plus i could leave my computer run for 12 hours. because idc.

3rd. WHY Does it matter. maybe some people want this option.
Also i can't even que the games to download in a set order. because it doesn't even allow that eather.

I Litterly have to wait for 1 game to install. to allow the next one.

And i have like 6 games i need to install.
You can only play one at a time... as I said, let one completely download and play it while each other downloads in the background.

If not going to play one, why bother downloading anything....
You say you got godlike computer only to follow up with that your installation will have 12 hours lenght. Either way, silly.

And if it was going to take 10 minutes for each game to download and install, then it would take an hour before you could play any of them, because they would get in each others way. Plus, there's the decade old advise to NEVER try and install multiple programs as the same time. So in reality, the best Steam cound do is download them all at the same time, but then do each install one after the other.

Also, just click the up arrow on the game you want to play first and it will jump to the top of the queue. You can also order the downloads by clicking the arrow starting with the last game you wish to install and working your way to the first one (as each move will put it at the front of the line).

Yes... it does. Not even bringing write speed into the equation(which matters as well), if you get a download speed of 20MB/s, one game will download at 20MB/s. If you split that between two games, each game would be splitting that 20MB/s, so it would take longer to play a game.

If you que up your downloads(you can absolutely choose the order by the order you start the downloads), you can start playing the first one when it is completed while still downloading the others in the background.

For most people this would just increase the wait time to play any of the two.

At the same time doesnt always mean to save time.
I totally agree to the following arguementation:

Why do you want to download /install two games at the same time? You can not play two games at the same time, can you?
Also to try an easy explanation: Your internet connection does not download both games with the full speed, so both downloads will take a longer time to finish. Is that worth it? To wait longer to be able to play 1 out of 2 games that have been installed?
I do not think so. And steam probably thinks the same way.
