This happen to me a few times when I'm downloading other games and will probably happen to R6 as well . So please help me before my R6 restart all over again .

Is steam crashing or if you sign out of your account then it auto restarts when you sign back in

I did not sign it out , I click the exit button straight away .

This normally happens if you pause the download or restart the Steam client before the download is finished *and* a new patch/update is released while you are still downloading. If there is no update/patch released before your download is finished, pausing and even restarting the client should normally be fine (the download will resume).

It's why I avoid buying games that release updates every few days.

Oh I see , is there any way to avoid that ?

No, the only thing you can do is to leave your computer on for the duration of the download, without pausing the download or restarting Steam. If that's not possible, I'd probably refund the game and buy it later when it doesn't get so many updates.

Theres also the option to solve the root cause. Steam, when nithing goes wrong, is absolitely able to resume downloads. I know that hecause ive spent 3 days downloading Quake Champions. Nut full days, more like an hour or two per day. Still, Steam was able to resume the download on day 2 after ive closed it (closed properly as opposed to just kill it) and finished just fine on day 3 instead od starting from scratch every time. Keeping Steam running all DL through is one way, but fixing the root cause is the hetter one.

The root cause is that an update or patch was released for the game *before* the download was finished. If you pause it, then an update is released before you have completed the download, it starts from scratch again when you resume.
