if you're on windows 7, its necessary to install the 360 accessories software too since the drivers in windows 7 are older and unstable.
try the "force install" box too.
Also I'm on Windows 10 64bit
I'm going to try something and let everyone know if it works or not.
You know what, ♥♥♥♥ it. Now I can't even get the software to recognize my device even after uninstalling and reinstalling, closing the setup instead of running the Driver Installer, doing a clean wipe, THEN running the Driver Installer.
I checked to see if windows was recognizing button inputs by going into Devices and Printers and checking the inputs there. Both analog sticks work, every button lights up on screen, yet I still cannot get this thing to ♥♥♥♥ing work in any game, even if I download xinput wrappers that don't do anything to actually provide what it says it will.
I'm just going to go get a new controller, ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥.
scpserver never gave me any issues when I used to use a ds3 pad.
might be hard to track down now though . the old forum links seem to be gone from google.
you're a lot like myself; I stopped buying 360 controllers because their sticks wear out quickly and the black controllers used to get my thumb coverered in paint lol
