ScpToolkit Issues / Please Help
I'm having very infuriating problems using ScpToolkit, and I need help from people who use it regularly with PS3 wired controllers.

I have an official Microsoft XB360 wired controller that I would normally use to play games, however the right analog stick has started drifting and it's very hard to play games like Dark Souls when your camera drifts downwards constantly.

So as a temporary fix I tried installing ScpToolkit (which is just a normal xinput wrapper right?)
I made sure I had all the prerequisite stuff installed, so I plugged in my USB PS3 controller and installed the drivers. Launched a game to see if the controller works, nothing. No inputs at all.
Double checked by clean wiping and reinstalling, still nothing. Checked to make sure the ScpServer thing was running, so it opens up, and this is what I see;

So I tried filling in the bubble next to Pad One, and I get an error message saying this;

No matter how many times I click continue, the error pops back up with the same message and the only thing I can select is quit.

I'm not sure what to do, and I have an itch to play games that I will only play using a controller, but I have no means of getting a new one right now.
If anyone requests specific information I'll be happy to tell you about my hardware.

When you run ScpDriver.exe and the install window pops up, be sure to check "Configure Service" AND "Bluetooth Driver..?

I don't see any button such as "Configure Service", and it's a native wired controller so I don't need to install the bluetooth driver.

prior to install, connect the ds3 via usb. run the setup and tick the "ds3", "configure service", etc and then install. it should setup the ds3 correctly.

if you're on windows 7, its necessary to install the 360 accessories software too since the drivers in windows 7 are older and unstable.

try the "force install" box too.

Yeah, I made sure it was plugged in, and clicked on the device I wanted to install the drivers for, aswell as trying the force install box, and still nothing.

Also I'm on Windows 10 64bit

I'm going to try something and let everyone know if it works or not.

You know what, ♥♥♥♥ it. Now I can't even get the software to recognize my device even after uninstalling and reinstalling, closing the setup instead of running the Driver Installer, doing a clean wipe, THEN running the Driver Installer.

I checked to see if windows was recognizing button inputs by going into Devices and Printers and checking the inputs there. Both analog sticks work, every button lights up on screen, yet I still cannot get this thing to ♥♥♥♥ing work in any game, even if I download xinput wrappers that don't do anything to actually provide what it says it will.

I'm just going to go get a new controller, ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥.

try the scpserver program. spctoolkit is effectively a "continuation" of that project since the developer ceased development a long time ago. both are now abandonware sadly

scpserver never gave me any issues when I used to use a ds3 pad.

might be hard to track down now though . the old forum links seem to be gone from google.

you're a lot like myself; I stopped buying 360 controllers because their sticks wear out quickly and the black controllers used to get my thumb coverered in paint lol
