Actual download speed is much higher than Steam says
I have an odd problem, for some reason when downloading games from steam, my actual download speed is reported as several times higher. Steam functions as normal, but Windows is reporting much more bandwidth being used. It's also important to note this is ONLY happening with Steam, no other program has this issue.

Things I have tried to resolve the problem:
  1. Re-installing Steam
  2. Doing a fresh install of Steam
  3. Turning the computer on and off
  4. Resetting my router
So far nothing has worked. Pretty sure I don't have a virus, I did a deep scan a few days ago and nothing came up. Any solutions?

You change download value to bits in Steam settings ->Downloads tab. If you want.

We've all been stupid at some point.

As a general rule, B = Byte and b = Bit
