Buying a game on steam while in a different country that has a different currency exchange rate
I'll be going to India for a quick holiday and i found out the the steam summer sale would be on the 21st of june. This is the date of which i would still be in India until 10th of july. I was wondering if i would be allowed to buy steam games while in India using my steam wallet funds and still be able to play them when i get back to Singapore.

Just keep your store location set to Singapore and buy games there using the Singapore store.

Would steam detect my IP address has changed to India and ban me as i didnt update my store country in the settings before making purchases?

You have a brain, use it. If Valve would NOT want you to have a store location distinct from IP location (which is unreliable anyway), wwhy the bloody hell would they add a store location setting in the first place? Just do as i told and youll be fine.

In case the IP detection was incorrect and it needed to be set manually...?

But then, the store location and the IP location mismatxh and were back to using the brain: Why would Valve include an option that gets accounts restricted? Right, they wouldnt so this option doesnr cause this problem. Logic is a fantastic thing.
