[SOLVED] I can't login on my Steam app on PC but I can in chrome browser.
To read how my problem got fixed, skip to EDIT. For the whole story, continue below.

It happened yesterday when I was downloading Black Squad. My data allowance on SIM1 was about to be exhausted (i use mobile phone tethering). So i decided to change my internet to SIM2. And when switching, there happens to be a small time when there is no connection. Steam said "no connection" on the bottom. I thought it was okay as it should change to "online" after a while. And now my PC crashes (it happens sometimes when i connect to the internet). Now after restarting the PC, I open Steam and now its asking me to login again. Fine. I entered my password and pressed "login" and now its showing "Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers." with two options- "RETRY CONNECTION" and "CANCEL". What should I do ? Help my soul.

EDIT: the problem was with my phone itself. I rebooted it and my problem is fixed

Reset Winsock and try again.

In the command prompt..

netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ip reset reset.log

You need admin rights to execute the command, so run CMD as administrator.

what does it do?

Netsh winsock reset is useful command that you can use in Microsoft Windows to reset winsock catalog back to default setting or clean state.

You can try this if you are having following Internet access or networking problems but still failing to resolve the problem after trying all other suggestions.

Once you've entered the command, reboot your PC and see if there has been any success.

It's something to consider.

You should ensure to backup your game files before proceeding.

Copy and save the ENTIRE Steam folder.

Specific game files can be found here...

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\<game name>\

looks like its some kind of internet problem.
There's problem with Fortnite launcher with this same network(other network works fine. ) It says i'm offline and all other friends are offline whereas they're not.
Downloading with chrome and IDM is also not working. I don't understand what happened.
