Refund for game haven't played? Or just give the spare key away?
I purchased a game on Steam back on May 17th. Haven't played it, haven't installed it. I got it during a sale and I was going through some purchase history on another site and I saw that I already had a key for the game, but just never used it.

Should I refund the game that I have on steam and redeem the key that I already purchased (but haven't revealed) on another site? I don't know what the policy is for or against this.

refunds policy - 2 hours played and owned less then 2 weeks. If you bought the game in the middle of may, you are outside the refund windown for the game.

You're not eligible for a refund as you should have done so within 2 weeks of purchase.

Only by a week. I know sometimes they give refunds for games even if it is a week or two outside of the refund window. However, i was more so specifically asking getting a refund on the game I bought via steam and then redeeming the code I have for the game I bought via another website.

you would have to submit the refund request, but as we have said you are outside the window. Case by case does not mean "They will give a refund". It means they will look at it and if there are any factors that justify giving a refund. Not playing the game is not much of a factor.

Other websites have their own refund policies.

I can submit the request and see what they say. I'm not expecting anything spectacular.

I was more so asking if refunding a game you purchased via steam and then redeeming the same game via a different site (such as Fanatical and Humble Bundle) was something that was against the rules.

Redeeming a srteam key from another site is fine.
