Game badge progress not visible?
First off, I'm sorry if I'm putting this in the wrong section.

Anyway, I have Trove on Steam and I have launched it and played for a while (using same account I played on for years off Steam). But I don't seem to have a badge progress for it on my profile. I have it installed, and I also have some games in which I have no trading cards, but the badge progress is there.

I can create a booster pack for Trove, using gems.

Anyone any ideas what's up? If I get the booster pack, will the badge progress appear? Is it just that I haven't played long enough through Steam, that I'm not even close to getting a card through playing (does the badge progress only show up if you have, or are close to having a card)?

I want to get a booster pack for something, and Trove is one of the games I have enough gems for, but since the badge progress isn't there at all, I'm wondering whether it would be a waste of gems or not.

Free to play games are not counted in the games collector badge.

That's not the badge I'm talking about. Developers can create trading cards for their games. These trading cards are usually in sets of 5, and can be turned into badges once a full set is collected.

I'm talking about the badge progress which shows the 5 needed cards for the equivalent game, and shows which ones you already have.

The badge progress usually appears on F2P games when you have an unpacked trading card in your inventory. If it doesn't appear; you can highlight the card and then select the 'check badge progress button' on your inventory screen.

Does not F2P games requires you to buy a dlc or such, or at least use cash on the game in some way? To get card drops, i mean.

You get a trading card for every $9 you spend but you can just buy a sole card from the market instead or complete the set.

Right, thx. OP why not buy one card on the market and see if you get the badge screen if you click on it in inventory? Does not cost much, but perhaps to roundabout?
