Can't go over 130-140 fps in csgo
I recently purchased a new custom rig. When i run csgo it will never go beyond 130-140 fps. I have already made every nvidia setting high performance in nvidia settings and the fps_max is set to unlimited. My old laptop would go above 400fps but this won't. Any suggestions

140 FPS is absolutely enough, depending on your monitor, you can't realistically make use of more anyway.

I kno that but why isnt it going above 140. With these specs i should be getting much more then that. I just want to make sure there is not fault

There's no fault. Maybe that's just a max. FPS limit because burning through more power to generate way more FPS than you can ever make use of simply doesn't make sense.

Bro, my laptop with way lower specs is giving a much higher fps on defaults. This thing is 4 times powerful and giving lower fps. There must be something wrong

You literally cannot see any difference unless you actually have a monitor that can put out more than that. It makes *no* sense to try for "higher" because it will never have an impact on your play.

I understand that completely. My concern is it should be giving more fps regardless it is reuired or not.

Is your fps capped in game? Is vsync enabled in nvidia control panel?

Vsync is off. Max fps is set to unlimited.

I would assume this is related to your Gsync monitor. Though it doesn't directly address this issue maybe this thread is of some help. There's more ways to turn on-off V-sync for instance

Gsync would explain it.
