Why does it take 4 days to download a game? [FIXED]

Im running at like 23.5mbps and its stuck at freaking 0% and steam is going at 19 kb? wth is going on.

A issue with your carrier, I never see issues like that.

Very much sounds like your carrier is throttling Steam downloads, sadly this is more and more common.

i talked with a tech and they worked on my internet and detected no problems at all. if my carrier was throttling steam downloads then she would have noticed it

I’m downloading from Steam at 80 Mbps.

Did she work for your carrier? They should not see intentionally throttling as a problem.

I have a 150mbps package... get well over that(should be roughly 18.75MB/s) on Steam downloads with ~22.5MB/s download speeds.

Steam does not throttle or control traffic, your ISP or carrier does.
Deal with it correctly or not at all!

They don't. The issue is either with your carrier or on your end... period.

Seriously, it is your carrier and they WILL lie to you to get you to leave them alone. Their service people are on timed calls - and the more they answer the better they get paid. So when they tell you it's not their problem they are 90% of the time just outright lying.
