CS:GO launches and instantly closes.
Since updating to the newest version of Windows 10 (180X) and returning back to Windows 1709 my CS:GO hasn't been launching. I've tried reinstalling CS:GO, reinstalling Steam, changing settings in the video.txt file and using the -safe launch option and reinstalling my GPU drivers.

The -safe launch option works but I don't want a hotfix, I want it to work completely normal, the way it has done for the past 3 years.

I can't find a config file anywhere in the CS:GO directory, could that be why?
Any more tips?

I've already posted this in the CS:GO section, theres too many new posts on there /min so mine just got thrown back.

Same with mine! I just encounter an error, I forgot the error because it cant be copy paste. How can I fix this? My update is not running because of this error too.

I did a fresh install of the newest Nvidia drivers using DDU and reinstalling the newest driver, it works again now.

Before now I had just reinstalled it from GeForce Experience, that didn't work.

After restarting my PC the problem came back again. I opened up Task Manager whilst CS:GO was opening and that time a Warning popped up. The warning told me to follow steps at this link:

The error was called 'Failed to create D3D Device', and this happens when graphics drivers are out-of-date. Which makes sense seeming the game had started loading after I reinstalled the newest Nvidia drivers. So why did it start closing again after I restarted my pc?
