Can also confirm this, I deleted both Sonic Studio 3 and Sonic Radar 3 and my game audio started working on the next load up.
Confirmed, had to delete both in order to fix audio problems. Thank you all for the suggestion!
I have an Asus STRIX RoG laptop and I too woke up this morning to absolutely no sound in csgo, rocket league, LoL, Fallout 3, everything I tried. Deleted sonic studio & radar, and I can confirm that this fixed the issue for me, How bizarre, it must've updated itself overnight (Gotta love windows 10) and I came back to just add my confirmation to this thread. Legends
@[H3xaMinE] thx for suggestion.
EDIT: Never mind. It turns out it was Nahimic after all. I'm guessing since it tries to emulate surround sound it pushed the sound in a direction that was incompatible.
Ran into this same issue when setting up a recently system restored Alienware. After reading everyone's comments, I tried closing the "Alienware Command Center" bloat and that completely fixed the problem.
I suspect it sets up some audio profile (there's a whole segment of the app dedicated to exactly that) and then glitches, at some point. Happy hunting otherwise, and Merry Christmas!
Confirmed on an X370 board with the same issue, thanks so much!
All I did is move my steam game files to a different folder then I reinstalled steam then put back the game files and relaunched steam hopefully this works for you.
I was having audio problems in Deceit (no sound in game), and I'm scrambling through every forums but no luck. As I stumbled upon this thread, I uninstalled Sonic Studio 3, and lo and behold... Deceit finally has sounds!
Dude, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for sharing the fix! You're a legend, my guy.
EDIT: Using an ASUS ROG laptop, can confirm this fix. OP, please mark the user's comment as the solution.
