BLACK SCREEN ON LAUNCH WITH GAME SOUNDS ON

Hi, i just bought a new laptop so im currently in the process of downloading my games. The problem is that in many games like metro 2033 redux, insurgency, resident evil 6 and borderlands 2, whenever i launch the game, i can only see a black screen and nothing else. i can also hear the menu music. PLEASE HELP, I CANT SEEM TO FIND A FIX.

Specs : 8gb RAM, i5 8th gen, amd radeon 530 4GB, Windows 10

Did you try changing the resolution? I've had a similar problem with "Left 4 Dead 2" in the past, sometimes the game launches in a resolution higher than what your monitor/screen can support, meaning you get a black screen.

The thing is that the moment i launch it i cant see anything. however in case of borderlands 2, i was able to press alt+Enter and the game switched to windowed mode. although i couldnt play BL2 in fullscreen, coz the moment i changed the resolution to 1280x720 also, it went black again. this was the most progress i'd had. the other games dont even switch to windowed.
