ERROR CODE -107 *SOLVED*
Hello Everyone,

I cannot access the Steam store or My Account without getting this error. I also cannot access this stuff on a regular browser either. I've done quite a bit of googling to see if anyone has found a solution, and one tip I got was to make sure my time was correct on my PC. It is so now I'm stumped. Could anyone offer some advice?

Just to wrap this up, on the Ziggo forum thread regarding this topic, four days ago Steam was reported to have replied that:

Success! By tracking down your requests in the logs, we were able to identify a sick Akamai DNS server and remove it from service. Thanks for helping us get to the bottom of this.

Hopefully this should resolve the intermittent errors you and others have been experiencing loading https://about:blank, but definitely let me know if you continue to see issues.

I have indeed not had any issues for some time now. Thanks to those who did get to the bottom of it.

You already created your own thread, so i suggest sticking to it.

To change your DNS: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using

Use either Google's DNS or Cloudflare's private DNS.

Changing DNS fixed my ERROR CODE -107. Changed the DNS from my local provider to OpenDNS.

Quick guide:
[Press window button + R]
In the Run window type "ncpa.cpl"
Right click your network card and click properties.
Double click -> Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
Click the radio button -> Use the following DNS server addresses:
- Preferred DNS server: 208.67.222.222
- Alternate DNS server: 208.67.220.220
Click OK, restart Steam.

Man you're a lifesaver. I've been trying to solve this issue for almost a week now and that's the only thing that worked for me. Thanks for the tip.

Hey buddy i found a solution hopefully it will work for you; download Hotspot shield vpn and run it while on steam in background it should work (TEMPORARY) AND IT ONLY WORKS FOR LIKE 15 MIN PER DAY I THINK SO BE VERY QUICK THEN DISABLE IT
Can it be that your ISP blocked your store.steampowered.com URL? This happened in my case. After allowing this URL, the error message was gone and I could use the Store again.

Just type in store.steampowered.com in your webbrowser and see if it works?
