Mass Effect 1 CD Key Problem when activating on origin

As the title say, i try to activate my cd key on origin but it says its invalid and EA Support sent me to speak to Steam support cause the cd key is invalid.

For clarification, i already activated mass effect 2 on origin with the cd key that steam provided

Mass Effect has this issue.
Tell them that you were told that your key is faulty. They'll give you another one. Show them proof of purchase on Steam and you'll get a new ME key for Origin.
That's what I did.

They may ask 'Where did you hear that?' Or can you show us proof that that has been the case in the past.

i see no option to contact support in there, just some Generic FAQ that does not help me on my cd key issue
