Avatars and copyright
The only avatars I've ver used are stock photos, pictures I took myself, and my current avatar. The Steam rules say not to upload copyrighted material, but I see people uploading copyrighted images as their avatar all the time. Is it okay to do that or not?

could it be you are confusing artworks and avatars ?

For artwork - no.

For avatars - it depends.
