Very low fps on steam games only SOLVED!!!!!!
I recently bought a pretty much new high end gaming pc off offer up (similar to craigslist)... it has a intel i7 7700k, a gtx 1080, 16gb of ram, and a 650w powersupply. But after trying out some steam games such as rainbow six siege and csgo, i've noticed that the frame rates are VERY low (13fps for rainbow and 30 for csgo). However, I get very good frames for fortnite in max settings (150fps)...... This leads me to think that I only get bad frame rates on steam games but I don't have much games to test this on since my steam account got recently hacked. The guy that sold it is very trust worthy so I know it is not his problem. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and pretty much everything I can think off except reinstalling steam as the selling suggested. So I'm asking if anyone has a idea of what is wrong and can help me out here

I dont know why you are get low fps.
I have a AMD Ryzen Threaddripper 1950X and 2x RX Vega 64.I dont have low fps.
Steam and the games are not the problem.Your PC is prob
Try running Steam in admin mode
Disable Steam overlay

And by updating drivers did you do a completely clean install? Removing all of the old drivers first before installing the newest?

What does your task manager say in terms of cpu usage when in a game with large fps drops?

I disabled steam overlay, it didn't work and by updating drivers I mean when I bought the pc, the guy wiped out everything and I installed the drivers by myself and then reinstalled it again
dumb question... is your monitor connected to the gpu or mobo?
thanks man for asking... I just realized that I was too excited when setting up the pc that I plugged it into the motherboard.... and on top of that, my dumbass forgot to reinstall my graphics card driver after uninstalling it so I guess you are right, It is a dumb question
