"This profile is private"

So, I've got some kind of new error - I think it happens after some time of being logged in. I noticed this trying to access my wishlist. It just said "oops there's nothing there". Clicking on my profile gives me a blank page stating "this profile is private" and I can't purchase anything. I usually have to quit Steam and restart it to make it work agains, so it's no big deal, but still a bit unnerving. Anybody's got something similar?

Known issue.

Restarting the client is the workaround.

It was even worse after the recent client updates.

Clear your client's web browser cache periodically.

had that happen when my connection to steam dropped and it reconnected. annoying, but it happens

Yes, refreshing the page a lot will allow it to reconnect.

Okay thanks! I was a bit worried if my account was compromised. Suddenly not being able to access your own profile looks awfully suspicious.

Okay thanks! I was a bit worried if my account was compromised. Suddenly not being able to access your own profile looks awfully suspicious.

It's no big issue.

The client loses connection and cannot verify that you're logged in to the account.

You wouldn't have the owner privileges due to that.
