Trade lock question
So I just traded around 37 cs go keys which I intended to use on levels with a bot. After the trade was completed I saw that they each have a trade lock. I would just like to know why because in my past experience with trading I never had any sort of lock after the trade was completed.
(I do not trade alot so if i'm being stupid then sorry :P)

7 days trade cooldown.

It was an update issued by Valve.

Steam trading was created to allow customers to easily exchange items with each other, and each day we see thousands of customers using Steam Trading in this way. Recently we’ve been looking into ways to reduce some negative unintended uses of trading in CS:GO (such as fraud and scams), with the goal of preserving trade between players. Starting today, CS:GO items received in trade will have the same seven-day trade cooldown as items purchased in-game or via the Steam Community Market. Over time, third-parties have developed services that use automated Steam accounts to mimic players and make use of Steam’s trading functionality. Unfortunately, some of these third party services have become a vector for fraud or scams. Unlike players, these services rely on the ability to trade each item very frequently. In contrast, a given item moves between actual players no more than once a week in the vast majority of cases.

But I traded the keys, I didn't buy them off of the market. I also completed a few other trades today without this lock so idk what it is.

all csgo items have a cooldown, does not matter if bought from market or traded with bob.

You should also be happy you where not trading in PUBG items. They can no longer be traded between accounts for the time being.

In either case, the cooldown applies.
