Graphics Driver Problem / Windows 10

Here is the screenshot I will be referencing:

Every few hours, I will try to launch a game(any game - I have 2 examples shown in the screenshot), and get some variation of "Drivers not installed"

Then I'll open Nvidia GeForce Experience and see that it offers to install the drivers, and does NOT list any driver as being installed below the "new driver" listing.

You can see, when I go into device manager, and then display adapters > Nvidia GeForce 1080 Ti and check the drives associated with it. The drivers that windows recognizes as installed are the SAME drivers as Nvidia is offering to install.

Clearly drivers are installed. Clearly Windows recognizes drivers are installed, but programs do not. Elevating programs to admin access does not change this.

Thing that fix the problem:
Telling GeForce experience to install the driver package. A few hours later this problem will begin again.
Rebooting my system(no driver reinstall). A few hours later this problem will begin again.

Other things I have attempted:
completely uninstalling the current driver, and then reinstalling fresh.

Didn't work.

Additional info:
Nvidia Control Panel(The actual driver UI) lists driver version as 397.31 - which is current. Games/GeForce Experience still don't recognize that a driver is installed.
Windows 10 Home version 1709/build 16299.371

IMO This is an OS issue, as both the OS and the driver itself recognizes it as being installed. However for whatever reason programs can't access/see the driver. I just want to know how to fix this♥♥♥♥♥♥likely caused by Microsoft(no real surprise. Not the first time).

I also figure Steam forums will be more useful than Windows support forum. As normal.

/nevermind the problem is listed as:

"Windows 10: Driver may get removed after PC has been left idle for an extended period of time."

On the known issues for driver build.

this driver has a bug, go to guru3d . com and download 397.55 hot fix ;) i have solved with this
