Seriously, that system will not be able to play anything apart from say, solitaire or minesweeper.
In all honesty, just save up some money & ask for help within the hardware forum & post your budget, people will be able to pick out parts for you.
I would suggest a budget of like 600-700$ budget and you could get a pretty beefy computer.
Do you have one of those all-in-one computers, where the computer is literally stuffed inside the monitor? You won't be able to upgrade that. At any rate, it will just be easier to get a new computer at this point.
I know people will hate on this but given your inexperience, I would just suggest buying a premade gaming system like this.

♥♥♥♥, I do have an all-in-one.
Alright, so, my best plan is to get an entirely new computer. Great.
Does anyone know what type of budget i'd need to be able to just get by with gaming (im not talking about 120 FPS in Modern Day Titles, im not made of cash, but lets say, at least 60 FPS in Source games (TF2, Gmod, etc), what type of budget would I be looking at?)
120FPS in modern titles, that's a whole different beast.
Just as an example:

Has everything needed. Video would be handled by the CPU for now, and you can always throw in something like a 1050ti later.
Well, yeah of course, all-in-ones have components made to fit inside the monitor and they're not really made to be upgraded.
You might get a better answer if you tell us what your min-max budget is.
an all-in-one is basically a laptop without the portability.. not exactly a good choice for gaming
P.S. The SSD drive is rather cheap so think about that! Your memory space may decrease (depending on the size you choose) but that's about it. For me, it's good enough to play my favorite games!
I disagree. Laptops can be a perfect option too. Technology is improving and it is rather a better option so often now to be playing on a laptop. A desktop PC is just the classic old way which is still great!
