Thanks for reporting a profile - Question
:hi:

I have recently reported members on steam for inappropriate profiles and I was wondering since I received messages from steam thanking me about it, is there a way to see which are the profiles I reported? So that I know whether it was about hacking or just inappropriate content/behavior of their profiles?

No. That infomation is never given out. Anonymous both ways.

The moderator knows who reported who* and that can be acted on if you do false reports.

Thanks for clarifying this to me!

I guess that gives me a feedback that I help the Steam Community as much as I can! :Neko:

People kept complaining 'Reports did nothing' when they mostly didn't see the results of it. That eventually leads to people not bothering to report which only benefits toxic users and groups.
So they implemented this feedback loop to show people reporting indeed does something.

I've been reporting toxic players and members of Steam ever since I joined and I recently received such messages from Steam Support. That is good to know that it actually works! :scorepoint:

People dont get banned for hacking trough manual reports, atleast not regarding VAC or steam.

That is good to know, thanks! I'd see options such as "Suspected cheater" and I'd thought is for that reason. But I'm guessing it's for cheating on achievements, whatsoever.

Its mostly a statistical thing, as VAC operates automatically. And for cheating achievements, noone really cares about that.
