You would have ot add a local payment method to do so
Note that you may run into restrictions when you move back to NL potentially with games purchased in Indonesia due to the lower price.
You might want to stick with the NL store to ensure maximum compatibility when you return. Your previous payment methods will still work if you stay on the NL store even while in Indonesia
Otherwise you could just leave it alone.
Edit: Ninja'd!
I have an adress where I'm staying for months and they ask me to pay by MasterCard/Visa, which I have. So then it is all good?
I read on Steam that most games you buy for yourself are not region locked and if so, it is stated above the part where you click buy.
I'm so sorry to bother.. I'm just a little confused.
Region locks on games expire after 3 months anyways.
I bought my card at a Dutch bank, which is connected to...
Ah, I get it..
I need a card from an Indonesian bank right?
Thank you so much. I finally understand and feel really stupid rn xD
So sorry to bother.
You dont really need a payment method registered, the adress is more important.
You can just use Steam Wallet Cards, those work worldwide and the amount on the card gets
automatically converted into the shop currency you are currently using.
So if you living in Indonesia for 4 months it could be worth it to switch for the time, the game prices are much cheaper there.
Most wallet card there have taxes and fees attatched to them. That is why I did not suggest that.
Just saying. I'll go away now.
So what you are saying is that if I let somebody buy the cards from the Netherlands and use the code here in the Indonesia it will be in Rupiah?
That sounds odd though..
What currency is your steam store using? I'm not sure how you set it to Indonesia without an Indonesian payment method.
Right now I'm still using Euro, because the whole question was about changing it or not xD
But I don't have a Indonesian payment method I guess because my MasterCard is linked to my adress in the Netherlands.
So I understand that part, but that other comment about using wallet codes and stuff like that just made it more confusing.
I think it is better for me to just keep things like they are now :')
What it is, Wallet cards are converted to your local currency. So if you add a USD wallet card, the money is automatically converted to Euro.
