GeForce Game Ready driver keeps reverting
So I've been experiencing this rather odd issue for a few days now: my Nvidia GeForce graphics driver keeps reverting back to the old one after installation.

I first noticed this upon playing a HD video file in VLC, the day after I updated.
The film was suddenly all pixly and square-filled, so I checked if my drivers were still up to date.
Upon opening GeForce Experience, I saw that there was a new driver available:
(397.31, released on 25/4 2018).

I installed it using default/standard installation, as usual.
Nothing strange happened during the installation, and Nvidia told me my drivers were up to date when it was finished.
Said and done, I closed GeForce Experience.

Later (hours at least, could be more), I shut down for the day.
When booting up the morning after, the video issue was back and - big surprise - GeForce now told me the same patch was available (it had for some reason been reverted).

The only thing I can think of having done is shutting down my PC and restarting it.
No other significant installations, patches or updates that I know of.

My specs:

Motherboard: ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming
CPU: IntelCore i7 6700k
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x8 GB
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Operating system: Windows 10 x64

The last driver is buggy, i suggest just waiting for a fixed version.

Yeah, I suspected that to be the case...
Same thing happened today, after shutting down and booting up again.

I'm guessing there's nothing else to do but wait for the next version...
