How to contact steam support
I'm looking for a way to contact steam support, the self help option does not include the issue that I am looking for.

My father in law died last week, he was a pc gamer and my wife came home with among other things, a giant pile of games that are pretty much all tied to his steam account. We do have his steam login but the email associated with it was closed a month ago lost and gone. I don't know if these games are paper weights now or if there is a way to install them under my steam account so the kids can still play them like they did at his house. He was big into the Call of Duty series. There's easy 600$ of new games sitting here that we can't do anything with them, like the entire Call of Duty catalog and if they are gone they are gone, i'm just looking to see if there are exceptions for cases like this. Thanks for any ideas.

Unless it was willed to someone, support will likely refuse to hand over the account.

But you can always try. Do recovery while NOT logged in.

Once a game(s) is tied to an account, you cannot transfer it or them to another account. I wouln't waste time with Stream Support. I doubt they'd hand over the account. Even with the CD keys as proof....because even though you have them.....the account is still not yours.

I think they were trying to come up with something for when users passed on.

If you still have the physical games, you can recover the account.

We do, the disks are all here, do you know how to do that? I cant find an option to contact support by email or phone or anything.

The option is there once you exhaust the self-help options. Then youll get a contact form and then youll be able to recover the account using the original license keys (which you hopefully still have with your physical copies).
