Steam didn't send me an activation key, but Uplay keeps asking for it.

I searched everywhere, and I simply cannot find the key. There's no "View CD Key" when I right-click the game, it never gave me the key through email (despite receiving a receipt), and linking my Uplay Account to Steam doesn't work, as for some reason it does not link.

The game is Rainbow 6 Siege Standard Edition, and it's still downloading. From everywhere I looked, it says that I should have got a key by now. The TTS Version of the game is downloaded and the real version is about 1/4 of the way in, but no key. To get into the TTS Version (and i'd expect the real version), I need a key. There's nothing even indicating a key exists.

When I got the email, all it gave me were the details of my purchase. No mention of the key at all. When I try to link my Steam to my Uplay, it for some reason just doesn't link. There's no option at all, and my google searches have turned up flat. What can I do?

Update the Uplay launcher to the most current version.

Steam atuomatically registeres the game onto uplay when you launch the game on steam

It doesn't show you a key because you don't need one

Update your uplay client

I just downloaded my Uplay client, it wasn't downloaded b4 I bought the game.

you have to

1) install uplay
2) logg into the uplay client with your uplay account you want to activate the game on
3) launch the game from steam

Already did that. When I do that, Uplay asks me for an activation key

btw I'm not an actual old lady, just to wave off any unconscious bias that I don't know computers or software.

it means your uplay client is messed up

1) uninstall
2) reboot
3) reinstall
4) reboot
